No real surprises on the roster. The most interesting thing to me will be to see how the outfield works out in terms of playing time. Hamilton is likely to start just about every day. The other four guys all can argue their way for deserving to play almost every day, so how that is worked out will be interesting to follow. The roster only listed guys as “pitchers”, so my guess at the rotation is, in alphabetical order: Cingrani, Corcino, Galarraga, Reineke and one of Reynolds/Villarreal.

Looking over the rosters, I take it that Marquez, Jose Diaz, Beau Mills, Texiora, and Mark Fluery all got released?

Surprised about Serrano. He always had a good K/BB rate. In ’11 he had big trouble with the gopher balls, but bounced back nicely last year. Maybe he got injured and due to his age, the felt best letting him go. I just thought he could make a AA/AAA bullpen better.

The rosters show 5 outfielders in AAA and only 2 in AA.
