For posts on all of the 2014 Cincinnati Reds draft picks, you can click here. I am limiting posts on the front page to try and keep the site from crashing.

The first thing that I want to note is that if the site doesn't look right, it is because the other format, plus all of the traffic is causing too much stress on the server and causing it to crash, so I have reverted to the most simplistic view of the site to try and keep it running through the day. If things look normal, pay no attention to this message.

Today there are 30 rounds worth of picks. I will be doing three posts for the day, each with 10 picks so that things don't get overly long and overbearing all on one post. Things should go rather quickly today with so many picks, so there may not be much interaction with me today on twitter or in the comments section as I figure I will be trying to track down information as things go for the entire time between picks today, where as yesterday there was about 45 minutes between picks, today there will probably be about 15 minutes between each pick.

Cincinnati Reds 21st Round Selection: RHP Tyler Parmenter, Arizona

Scouting Report

The 6' 2" and 200 lb right hander didn't pitch much in college, with 2014 being the only season he came off of the mound. Working as a reliever he threw 29.1 innings he struck out 24 batters and walked 16. He showed off big arm strength, reaching into the mid 90's and topping out at 97 MPH. His secondary offerings are well below-average at this point in time.

Cincinnati Reds 22nd Round Selection: 3B Robert Byckowski, High School (Ontario)

Scouting Report

The 6' 2" and 210 lb third baseman out of high school in Canada is the son of a Reds scout. He has plenty of size to him and his above-average power potential is his calling card at this point. He has a very quick bat, which you can see in the video below.

Cincinnati Reds 23rd Round Selection: LHP Ty Sterner, Rhode Island

Scouting Report

The 6' 1" and 210 lb left hander spent the first two years at Rhode Island as a reliever, but spent most of the 2014 campaign starting. Sterner has above-average velocity from the left side, sitting in the low 90's. His secondary pitches are below-average though. He has also struggled with his control in his career, walking more than he struck out his first two seasons. In 2014 the control did improve, but he still struggled to throw strikes at points in time.

Cincinnati Reds 24th Round Selection: RHP Shane Crouse, Lake Sumter CC

Scouting Report

Unfortunately I don't have a scouting report on this player at this point in time. If I find something, I will update it. Looking at the stats, I would guess he has a good fastball, but lacks control. Both his walks and strikeout rates have been pretty high.

Cincinnati Reds 25th Round Selection: 1B Paul Kronenfeld, Catawba College

Scouting Report

Kronenfeld began his college career at Georgia Tech, but he didn't get much playing time his first two seasons and transferred to Catawba College where he was a two year starter and hit well for the team. His plate discipline was quite poor while at Georgia Tech. Against lesser competition at Catawba it was dramatically better, but its tough to tell if it was because of big improvements on his part of the fact that he faced lesser competition. As a senior, he should sign rather quickly as long as he wants to continue playing baseball.

Cincinnati Reds 26th Round Selection: LHP Brennan Bernardino, Cal State Dominguez Hills

Scouting Report

I can't find any scouting information on the 6'4" and 180 lb left hander. If I can, I will update this.

Cincinnati Reds 27th Round Selection: RHP Jake Paulson, Oakland (MI)

Scouting Report

The 6' 7" and 210 lb right hander has a fastball that works in the 90-93 range and has touched 95 MPH. He has plenty of size, but his secondary offerings need improvement.

Cincinnati Reds 28th Round Selection: RHP Dustin Cook, San Jacinto JC

Scouting Report

The 6'5" and 210 lb right hander was previously drafted by the Indians in the 2013 draft but didn't sign. He throws in the low 90's with room to add more velocity.

Cincinnati Reds 29th Round Selection: LHP Michael Sullivan, Gloucester County College

Scouting Report

I am unable to find any scouting information on the 6' 0" 210 lb left hander. With that said, he absolutely obliterated the opposition at Gloucester County College for the two seasons he was there.

Stats

Cincinnati Reds 30th Round Selection: SS Josciel Veras, Cumberland

Scouting Report

The 5' 8" and 175 lb shortstop is originally from the Dominican Republic, but attended high school in the US before heading to Hillsborough Community College and then to Cumberland where he played two seasons. I don't have much of a scouting report on him, but he seemed to make some big strides from 2013 to 2014 at the plate, showing a lot more power. At his size, there probably isn't much power to work with, but he went from no power at all in 2013 to showing some solid pop this past season.
