Reply Kap April 18, 2017 He is at Louisville. Playing 2nd and DH sometimes. Not off to a good start so far. Reply The Duke April 18, 2017 One 3 for 4 night and all of a sudden Senzel is hitting .280. If he goes 3-4 again today he’d be hitting .315. Just a reminder to everyone not get too worked up about slow starts. Or to get too excited over a hot start. Except Tanner Rainey’s, that was just incredible. Reply MK April 18, 2017 Disappointing night in Dayton. Ahead by 6 after first inning with your projected ace on the mound and end up losing by four. Santillan just did not have it and he stayed in anyway to get to his pitch count. The stadium radar was not working but he did not seem to have his normal velocity and command was non-existant. Do not know if it was a factor but his parents, girlfriend and other family from Texas were in attendance to see him pitch. Sometimes that is good, sometimes bad. On a positive note Tyler Stephenson hit the ball hard last.night. Even the outs were hard hit balls. Nice to see that Sarkis Ohanian is active again. Hopefully he is completely recovered from the hip impingement surgery that ended his 2016. Reply Simon Cowell April 18, 2017 Oakland’s shortstop is out for a long time. Would they be interested in Zack and what would be the return? Reply Kap April 18, 2017 I wish but I doubt it. Their top prospect is a shortstop in Triple A and they’re not off to a good start so far. We’ll see in a month from now where they’re at though. Reply The Duke April 18, 2017 They aren’t contending in the AL West this year and they already have Franklin Barreto, albeit there is a good shot Barreto ends up at 2B. They do have a 2015 1st rd pick at SS in AA in Richie Martin, but he’s been pretty bad with the bat. If Oakland was a real contender, then maybe they’d be interested, but I doubt it. In a hypothetical example where Oakland wanted Cozart, I’d target a Logan Shore (RHP) and Sean Murphy (C) package in return. I would assume they wouldn’t be open to trading Lazarito. Reply kevin zook April 18, 2017 Good to see Senzel and Long get going.. the walks an extra base hits should follow soon. Reply Clammy April 18, 2017 Hey Doug, the link for the Pensacola box score goes to Daytona instead.
