There were plenty of home runs hit this past week. Unfortunately, there were also multiple home runs hit during the week that we don’t have distances on – including three by Brian O’Grady and one by Hector Vargas. Despite that, we still have distances on 12 home runs this past week. Here’s the Top 10 longest home runs for the week:

Day Player Distance
17-May Bruce Yari 430
14-May Dilson Herrera 420
17-May Taylor Trammell 415
16-May Chad Wallach 405
13-May Hernan Iribarren 392
12-May Jesse Winker 390
14-May Rob Brantly 385
16-May Aristides Aquino 385
12-May Aristides Aquino 382
16-May Nick Senzel 379

The longest home run of the week comes from Bruce Yari. The first baseman joined Dayton last week and hit an absolute blast in his second game with the team.  The home run by Dilson Herrera was also a shot-and-a-half. Neither, however, is listed among the highlights in the game recap. The home run by Taylor Trammell, however was.

Jesse Winker makes his first appearance on the longest home runs of the year list this week. His first home run of the year went 390 feet, hitting off the third level of the patio awning in right-center field.

The longest home run of the week is also now the longest home run in the system this year as far as I’ve been able to see/get confirmation on a distance. Here’s the updated Top 10 for the year, which includes three new additions from this week:
