Former Stanford Cardinal, Alex Blandino, has his on base percentage fall to .384 with his 49th hit in 186 at bats since joining the Louisville Bats.

I think that Sparks is a talent. Just waiting for the spark to go off and he gets it

I think it is especially encouraging since Taylor is coming back from the hand/wrist injury which made him lose most of the season. those type injuries can ruin a career.

I am more discouraged by Santillian’s outing than Greene. Not too often will a pitcher go out and have a 1.000 BABIP. No HR. No Doubles. I can’t tell if he gave up a triple. If not 6 singles in 6 AB.

Keep in mind Santillan’s outing was adversely affected by 3 fielding errors (granted one was committed by Santillan). Not only did the errors lead to 3 unearned runs, but they also make for longer, more stressful innings.

Louisville is the worst fielding team in the International League and it shows not only in their losing record, but contributes to negative pitching performance as well.

It’s a long season for these young guys, too. And a lot of dollar meals.

I understand Tony came out feeling a little ouchy from last nights game and is questionable for next start which was to open playoffs. It was cold and rainy, a night when it might be tough to get loose at the end of a long season.
