David May 10, 2018 Vladimir Gutierrez is scheduled to go for Pensacola today. He has walked 5 batters this season, all in his first start. Bad Vlad has not walked a batter over his last 5 starts, covering 28.1 innings. He has punched out 26 batters over that same stretch. MK May 10, 2018 Also has a .277 batting average against. Maybe he needs to be a little more selectively wild and less hittable. Why take a pitch you can hit. asinghoff May 10, 2018 Tough to see Senzel go down again with the vertigo issue. Hopefully it’s manageable for him moving forward, with life and baseball. At this point, I’m fully expecting a Dilson/Scooter platoon in Cincinnati all summer instead of Senzel. The Duke May 10, 2018 Dilson Herrera with a nice game for Louisville, and he’s been in the field lately. Be interesting to see if he can work his way back into the show. jim t May 10, 2018 Doug how is Dilson Herrera as a fielder? He can not be as bad as Scooter can he? Doug Gray May 10, 2018 When people talk about Dilson Herrera in the field they generally talk about how he can hit. Matthew O'Neal May 10, 2018 With Harvey now in Cincinnati, I think it is imperative that Reed and Stephenson focus on starting in AAA, not eyeballing a callup. Stay completely focused on AAA starts, and the Reds’ hand will be forced. Hoping for a big game from Reed tonight. Bromleyjake May 10, 2018 Doug- Do you get the sense that J. Downs is anchored in Dayton for the entire season regardless of how he hits? Or is there a chance he gets promoted to Daytona this season? Doug Gray May 10, 2018 I can’t recall the last time the Reds promoted a high school guy in his first full season beyond Dayton. So yeah, I’d say it’s probably as close to a guarantee as you’re going to get that he’s in Dayton all season. Brad May 10, 2018 Never want to see a player go on the DL, but anything to keep Senzel in Louisville past the Super 2 deadline at this point is a positive. Jeter Downs needs a year at Dayton to work defensively. Downs offensively is special and defensively is suspect. Garcia defensively is special and offensively is suspect.
