Is Tyler Mahle tough or what? What a horse! It’s beginning to look like the Reds can hang their hats on the 3 rightys—Mahle, Romano and Castillo. Now begin to add Garrett to the mix>

Floro has been a beast out of the Reds pen so far this year. Very nice late addition by the team. The entire bull pen is starting to throw a bunch of 0’s.

Nice start for Siri except for the 3 K’s

Nice effort by Malhe last night. Probably would have gone 6 if the fielding didn’t let him down. Really like the progress he, Romano and Catillo are showing.

Hope Robert Stephenson can continue to build on his last 2 outings.

Had No idea that Matt Harvey played for Midland here locally. Would be nice to get him turned around and have him decide he likes our small market.

This year’s Scooter or Dan Straily. The “scrapheap” move has worked out very well the last few years

Welcome back Siri. It’s a big season for him glad to see him get going with a couple of hits in his debut. Vlad with a nice outing. It would be nice to see him get on a roll. He knows how to throw strikes, the next step is limiting runs.

For having such a strong farm system it seems like our AAA and AA team lose a whole heck of a lot. Thank goodness for the Tortugas and Dragons.

Not a lot in AAA, a bit more in AA. The majority of our highly ranked prospects are at the A+ and A levels. Hopefully that starts to change in the next year or so.

    • Michael Smith

Mix of reasons that is happening. All the young pitching for the most part is now in cincy (garrett, mahle, castillo, romano) and the hitters are down in A level and flying up (except for shed at AA, and Senzel at AAA)

Reed with a high strike %. He’s quietly been reliable all year, without the blowup starts that haunted him with the Reds. If Stephenson can show more of that, he’ll be in Cincy for good.

Good to see the Reds being more proactive than in the past by demoting Finnegan. He simply wasn’t good enough and he needs to keep starting to tighten up his repertoire. I would also add that he needs to improve his conditioning. He’s pretty plump. If Kyle Schwarber can drop 25 pounds and look like a regular dude, so can Finnegan.

Reds bullpen is so good- rotation needs to just put up low end quality starts. Go 6 and give up 3- turn it over to the pen. Can win a lot of games that way. That’s how Royals won WS too

Doug do you know much about the Mesa brothers from Cuba?

    • Colorado Red

Probably going to cost more then the $300K we can pay.
      (7 other teams like that).
Love to get one, but I doubt it.
