The Final Unnamed Reds Podcast Doug Gray September 5, 2018 9 Comments Episode 29 of The Unnamed Reds Podcast is here. And at least for now, it’s going to be the final one. It’s also the longest episode that we’ve ever recorded, coming in around 45 minutes long. We talked about a lot of things, from Homer Bailey and what to do with him, Bob Castellini dipping his hands into what seems like every baseball decision there could possibly be, the whole Scooter Gennett/Nick Senzel issue for next year, and how to try and fix the starting pitching. The last few minutes get into why things are going away, at least for now. Thanks for listening for the last handful of months. It was fun when things went the way they should. No matter if scooter does sign at 40-50 million unless th payroll goes to 175-185 million It’ll cut into th pitching we sign and we need atleast 2solid pitchers that’s th reason I say no wen u got senzel to slide in. I think health issues are overstated he went down with a thumb injury. Michael W. September 5, 2018 I agree with you about the health issues being overstated, especially because there is more depth beyond Senzel. We could possibly trade Scooter for a starter and have money to spend on another starter. Ben September 5, 2018 Sorry the podcast is over. You were a lot easier to listen to than those polyannas at redlegnation. But i understand the committment. Michael Smith September 5, 2018 Hope once in a blue moon to hear u podcast my friend. If not it has been a pleasure to hear you wax poetically redleggingfordayz September 6, 2018 I am very sad to see this going away for now, but I totally understand why. Same thing happened with running a YouTube channel. Everything seems pretty simple until you execute and realize you left your XLR cable plugged into your computer instead of the camera and you just shot 2 hours of unusable footage lol. Whenever you do come back for a surprise episode or something though, we will be here to listen :)! Michael Smith September 6, 2018 Doug I will co host with you and we can talk about digital marketing for 2 hours and how the one dealership I worked for wanted to replace our digital spend with an inflatable gorilla!!! Doug Gray September 6, 2018 Only if we can do it in the same room and I don’t have to hassle with the issue of trying to record audio from more than one source. Lol Michael Smith September 6, 2018 Do I have to wear pants? Alex September 7, 2018 Actually Doug, he didn’t say they would spend money. He said they may increase pay roll if fans show up at the end of the season. Dick less said that to hedge his bets when they don’t sign anyone. They’ll sign some minor league invites and they’ll blame the fans. They won’t spend 15 million total much less on one guy.
