Im hoping there are "a lot" of assumptions. I know people have complained about WK keeping prospects lower and promoting them slower than most other teams but this is beginning to look extreme even for him. The only reason I can see him justifying it is that the system is so full of talent now that they are finding it hard to to squeeze guys in at higher levels.

Yeah, I forgot that Thompson was optioned to AA. Maybe the article was based on some assumptions by the writer.

Doug: I just assumed Thompson would be in the AA rotation because he was optioned to AA when he was cut from spring training camp. I agree that it wouldn't hurt Ondrusek to get more work in at Sarasota, his ERA seemed a tad high for the league. I was thinking that Jukich would move up to AA if for no other reason than that he is 24, and that seems way too old for Sarasota.

I think Soto will be at SS longer than Frazier/Valaika because he has more range than those guys. His glove is still a work in progress, but he has a better shot at sticking at SS than any of the other questionable guys at SS.

Kyle,
Its going to be interesting to see how things shake out once the rosters begin releasing. Thompson wouldn't be hurt by spending a month in Sarasota, his HR rate last year was really high for the league he was in. Jukich and Ondrusek wouldn't hurt spending even more time in Sarasota to work on things or maybe even a shift to the bullpen if the Reds feel its the right move.

I wonder what is going to happen with Daryl Thompson, Ben Jukich, and Logan Ondrusek now. I had those three penciled into the AA rotation with James Avery and Sam Lecure.

Thanks for the wealth of information, Doug. I'm wondering if Naftali Soto might be switched to the OF, maybe CF if he's got good speed.
