Any chance that the Chattanooga infield looks something like this by season’s end: 3B Todd Frazier, SS Jose Castro, 2B Chris Vailika, 1B Juan Francisco. Francisco is the only question mark for me in terms of being ready for a promotion during the season, but if you think Frazier ultimately ends up at third, I’d go ahead and move Juan now. Especially with EdE and Rosales already ahead of them at third and not much else at first.

  2. Honestly, I don’t think that happens. Francisco has the tools to play at 3B so I don’t think he gets moved off the position. It is going to be an interesting problem that the Reds have to take on.

  3. I like Frazier as much as the next guy, but to jump him a level is getting a little ahead of ourselves. I can understand thinking move him to Sarasota, but let him develop, don’t throw him to the wolves (i.e. AA).

  4. Im convinced that Todd Frazier will slug his way to Sarasota within a month. Im thinking that if he goes to Sarasota Valaika would slide over to second and Turner would get the short end of the stick. Turner could always learn to play the outfield since it looks like hed need versatility to stick on a major league roster down the line.

  5. I agree with Kyle about Frazier. I don’t see him playing for Dayton once mid-may comes around. I see no reason why he didn’t start in Sarasota.

  6. there is something to be said for paying your dues, and i dont think a month in dayton will hurt frazier at all. however, if a guy with his background tears the cover off of the ball for a month it is time for a new challenge. i would like to see him start next season in Chattanooga.

    Kyle,
Where would he play in Sarasota in a month? Who moves for him and where do they go?
