  1. Was the part about Juan Francisco getting a walk a typo? He might just get his obp up over his batting average now.
Chris Valaika is really killing the ball, do you think he is setting himself up for a midseason promotion? Justin Turner is swinging a hot as well.
Daryl Thompson’s stats are jaw dropping. How similar is this start of the season to the one he had in Dayton last year?

  2. Turner’s now hitting over .400, ridiculous he’s still in high A

  3. When is the mlb draft?

  4. Kyle,
Thompson had a similar start last year, but this year its at a much higher level and with more strikeouts and a slightly better FIP.

    Tyler,
    June 5th.

  5. Do you think any of the relievers in Dayton can be the next Viola?
That Sarasota lineup has some real good hitters. Is there any word on how Valaika is fielding at short? It would be nice if he could develop into an average shortstop and be a Keppinger type in the majors.

  6. After tonight, Valaika has 25 RBI’s in 97 AB’s. He needs to be moved to a faster track. Any chance he gets an early call to Chatt?

    Kyle,
There could be a chance in there, but I don’t know if anyone there has a mid 90’s fastball like Viola does.

    Fritz,
Valaika might see Chattanooga soon. He is tearing it up in Florida and its his second year there.
