Its nice to see Cozart hitting. The depth at shortstop suddenly looks a lot better with him playing there. Should we be concerned with Rafael Gonzalez’s lack of strikeouts?

Nah, it was his first start of the year. The hitters are likely ahead of him at this point, so the fact that he did so good was nice to see.

Great to see Strait getting it back together. I’m rooting a thousand percent for that kid.

Do you think Denis Phipps is turning a corner? For a guy that is raw, he doesn’t seem to strike out too much. How is he in the field?
Stubbs is really racking up the steals. It would be huge if he could steal 30 in the majors. I have a hard time figuring where he would fit in a major league lineup. im guessing 7th or 8th.

If Drew could cut down on his strikouts he would make a prety good leadoff man.

Seems like a big if though but i agree. he didnt seem to like leadoff very much in dayton if memory serves.
I noticed that Brandon Waring hasn’t played since getting hit by a pitch. Hopefully its nothing serious.

Not sure if Phipps has turned a corner so to speak, he isn’t even OPSing .800 right now.
Stubbs doesn’t take well to the leadoff spot. I would never bat him there. guys that have contact issues should never bat leadoff. Since getting out of the leadoff spot last year (a little over 200 AB’s) he is killing the baseball.
