With what went down with Krivsky being fired and then the debacle of the game tonight I just wasn’t in the mood to do anything with the site today. I know its sad that I let the Reds have a part in my mood in life, but it is what it is. Tomorrow I want to take a look at Edwin Encarnacion over his hit streak which has reached 13 games through tonights game.
Depressing day in Redsland (for me at least)

I’m feeling the same thing–it actually is coming at a good time, as I need to focus on my work for a bit anyway. But somehow, the firing of Krivsky makes the team feel a little less like my own. I don’t know why that is, but that’s what I’m feeling tonight. -j

Try doing an Arroyo comparison between last year and this year.
I looked at the pitching cards and the classifications and alignments look totally different because of the “PitchF/X” new classification and the GABP cameras being off.

On EdE, I think it’d be interesting to see what he was swinging at when he was struggling compared to now that he’s hitting. My guess is that it’s not so much the pitches he’s going after as that he’s not pulling his head off the ball as much, something that won’t show up in the graphs. Of course, I’ve made a lot of requests of you, so feel free to ignore me.
As for Krivsky’s firing, I think he got a raw deal. I think Castellini kept him on to run the show in order to give Jocketty time to get up to speed. While that may have been helpful to Jocketty, it really sucks to do that to Krivsky.
