Today I wanted to look at Brandon Phillips when he was facing a fastball. Below is the chart showing what he has gone.

There are a lot of balls put in play on the chart, but most of them appear to be from the middle of the zone and higher. It looks like he may have some problems fully catching up to the low fastball, at least right now. There are a bunch of foul balls in the lower half of the zone, but only a few that went into play. He did however only have a handful of swinging strikes. It would appear to me that Phillips seems to have struggled so far this year with breaking pitches but had most of his success against changeups and fastballs.
