The Boss, Bruce Almight, The Natural, The Pheenom…. I have seen Jay called all of those over the last 24 hours by varying writers. Personally, I like The Boss but that doesn’t really matter too much. Lets look at what Jay Bruce did last night through some Pitch F/X.
Looks pretty strong doesn’t it? He didn’t expand the zone and drove the ball well. He is going to be a very good player.

Long waited for debut, well worth the wait. And Patterson went down today. The team seems to be going young. We’ll see how Dusty likes that, but I think one positive to having Jocketty, he won’t be pushed around by any manager. I like the way things are going. Janish looks good so far too.

Janish controls the plate well, but isn’t much of a hitter. Strong glove though and his arm is VERY good. Good to see Patterson heading to AAA and Phillips coming up.

Janish doesn’t have to be a big hitter, just effective at the plate. Don’t go up and give away at bats like Patterson has done, and Dunn was doing earlier this season. It is very refreshing to see the young guys come up and perform, Bruce looks great, there is a lot of promise on this team. Hope they can deliver.
