Tyler Mahle, Brian Hunter and Tejay Antone named as Midwest League All-Stars Doug Gray June 5, 2015 4 Comments The Midwest League All-Star game will take place later this month in Peoria on June 23rd. Three Dayton Dragons have been named to the All-Star team and they were all pitchers. Starting pitchers Tyler Mahle and Tejay Antone, both of whom are right handers, will be joined by right handed reliever Brian Hunter. Tyler Mahle ranks 12th in the league in ERA with a 2.63 mark. He currently leads the league in starts and innings pitched. He ranks second in strikeouts with 62. He’s been particularly dominant over his last two starts where he’s allowed just one run in 12.1 innings with 17 strikeouts and a single walk. Tejay Antone ranks 7th in the league with a 2.18 ERA. The right hander is 5th in the league in innings pitched with 57.2 and he has the lower home run rate in the league as he still hasn’t given one up. Brian Hunter will represent the Dragons bullpen. He is sporting a 2.31 ERA in 23.1 innings with five saves. He’s also struck out 29 batters and held opponents to a .227 average.
