Hey now Siri With a walk lol
man Trammell just real consistent for a young Player
Nice to see the lil streak for Garcia
Atm cant say Gordon not making contact lately lol not BB or KK at all

  2. kevinz

Trade Scooter Duvall Trammell to Nats for Robles take chance since Hurt chance to be superstar plus Nats brought up soto may lose Harper
so thats why give up Trammell so Nats do it. Plus we get Carter Kieboom and Pitcher Fedde.

    • Cguy

I doubt the Nats would be interested in that trade. But before that, see if the Giants would’t be interested in reviving the Hamilton/ Ramos deal. Reds throw in
Matt Harvey & the Giants throw in Shawn Anderson. Giants are only 2 games out of the West lead & have a pile of injured starting pitchers. Harvey could be a big help until they get a couple guys healthy. If the Reds got Ramos, they’d be in a better position to deal Trammel. As for your Nats deal, I’d offer up Iglesias with Scooter & Duvall, or Trammel & Duvall- as long as we got Robles, Kieboom, & Fedde in return.

    • AirborneJayJay

Victor Robles is injured and out for the season. Hurt his elbow. You sure you want to give up Trammell for that?? No way.

      • kevinz

Didnt realize was out all year i knew was Hurt i wouldnt do it since that the case then.

    • wes

His value has to be a career low right now, but besides that-

Since the beginning of his senior year in high school- he’s pitched about a seasons worth of ball. He’s been a pro for less than a year and an adult less than that. He pitches in a league against the likes of the best college baseball players of 2017; he’s in the same league as Fairchild….be patient

  3. Matthew O'Neal

If the Reds need a 40 man spot is Jesus Reyes’ sweating his spot? His return to AA hasn’t gone very swimmingly, and Rookie and Disco both need a 40 man spot, plus Herget and maybe Clementina and/or Dilson Hererra in the off season due to Rule 5. There’s 0 free spots for 5 men. I believe that Matt Harvey’s contract is the only one definitely coming off the books at season’s close.

    • Norwood Nate

Roster spots happen. I’m not sure anyone would claim Davis if he was put on waivers. But I would guess R. Herrera has the most tenuous grasp on a roster spot at this moment. Aquino, Reyes, and Shackleford should certainly be concerned if their performance doesn’t improve moving forward. But we’re a long ways off from worrying about Rule V and there’s likely to be a couple trades that may free up some spots as well.

      • Matthew O'Neal

Good points. I wasn’t exactly worrying about the rule 5, but I think it’s always fun to think about different scenarios that could happen!

  4. Hoyce

After the draft the reds could have about 10 lefits prospects that are either in top 100 or knocking on door
    2. Greene
    4. Stephenson
    5 #1 draft pick
    6. Santillan
    7. Siri
    8. Long
    9. Fairchild
    10. Sagillon???or a #2 pick over slot

    • Bromleyjake

Fairchild might be the most underrated player in our system. Imagine a guy with the all around offensive tools he has(ability to hit for average, takes walks, stolen base speed, and some pop) and the ability to play Center field. That would be a player the Reds have been looking for for decades and with his prior college experience he perhaps isn’t that far away from the Big’s.

  5. Michael Smith

At the moment I think Siri, Fairchild and Sagillon would be a stretch.

  6. AirborneJayJay

Will Hendrik Clementina make an appearance in your new mid-season top-25 prospects list? Top-15 maybe? I see 3 graduations in Mahle, Winker and Blandino. I also see several in the 15-25 range that will drop and probably drop out. Going to be interesting to see several new faces populate your top-25, maybe as many as 10 new ones.
How soon after the draft will you do your mid-season list?

    • MK

You know performance doesn’t always equate to prospect status, though it weighs heavy for me. Hendrick has plus hit and power tools. But his speed is a minus, his arm is average , defense would be average minus, and performance would be a plus. Not sure three out of six gets him there. He would be in my Top 25 but that is just because I weigh performance higher than tools, not sure Doug does however.

  7. MK

Winker homered and Siri walked in same day, my goodness I thought according to some here that would constitute somewhere in the nether regions to freeze over.

  8. AirborneJayJay

Wow. Auburn’s Casey Mize took another loss last night in the SEC Tourney. That is 3 L’s in a row for him now.
    He pitched 7.2 IP, 8 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 0 BB, 7 K, 7 FO, 6 GO.
He just might be there at #5 for the Reds.

  9. Bromleyjake

Does anybody think the blue jays would give up Bichette for Scooter and Rasiel? They gain 2 to help them win now and we get our SS of the future.

    • wes

No, they are not ready to compete with Yanks and Sox. They are going to have to rebuild and hope a couple of those young guys become stars.

    • Joe

I think if Mize, bart and singer are gone we best high school pitcher. Think Bart the only bat reds would consider over a pitcher at 5

    • Tom

Of all the bats, I like Bohm. I think he has the frame for huge power production. Just looks like a big 1b/3b/LF 40 HR type. Bohm or Bart might allow the Reds to think about trading Votto if they need to. Hopefully some of the talent in HS is there at 47. Would have been a good year for a Comp pick.

  10. kevinz

Scooter Duvall to stl for Fowlers bad contract along with Wong then get Oscar Mercada CF as the Prospect we get for taking on bad contracts not sure if works or not.

    • kevinz

Then Trade Votto Schebler to Hou for Alex Bregman . Hou seems to think it to right handed so with this trade plus they keep Tucker they add 3 Lefties to there Lineup

      • MK

Votto has a no trade clause and says he will not approve a move. Don’t think he needs more money. I would also need more than Bregman if trading Votto.

If your plan is to play Bregman at short that would be a downgrade over Peraza.

      • kevinz

He says that now But lately has been disgruntled with the losing.
Also i cant see how bregman a Downgrade to Peraza even if D a little drop the Bat far outways Peraza
this would Free Up money since Bregman Cheap can use the Funds for weak spot on the team.

I understand why you don’t post daily stats, but I sure do like this format better. Nice to see the players daily on the article.

    • IndyRedsFan

Just a reminder….those of us who support Doug on Patreon see this format every day. Four bucks a month is pretty darned cheap.

      • RedsKoolAidDrinket

Or about $0.13 a day if my math isn’t wrong.
