I will take all the MILB teams losing with a Reds Series Win over the Cubs. Woohoo lol

What do you think they’ll do with Gutierrez Doug? He’s been pretty awful so far. Had a slow start last year too, but not a 9+ ERA slow start. Send him down, let him try to pitch through it or just skip him the next time or two through the rotation?

What’s happened to Scott Moss’ control? 7.8 BB/9. It’s impressive though that he’s still carrying a 3.55 ERA.

Don’t look now but very little pitching except RP in the 4 minor league teams playing now !!! Where are the international arms ??

Reds Minors international pitchers currently assigned
Gutierrez, Mella (acquired in trade) Louisville; Bautista, Martinez, Payano / Jiminian (minor league free agent signees) Chattanooga; Moreta, Pinto, Zabala / Sanmartin (acquired in trade); Salinas, Machorro, Rodriguez, Salazar, De Jesus at Dayton

Right now I do not see anyone of them becoming a starter in the major leagues. Possibly Gutierrez but he needs work.

Alf-Rod continues to maintain the .300 batting average he has carried the first two months. Might be time to flip flop he and Trahan to see what he can do with the Bats. I would like to see them resign Iglesias but he will be deserving a pretty good raise and probably want multiple years. if Alf can prove he can cut it at AAA it might help them with decisions this fall.

I’d offer Jose Iglesias a 2 year/9 $MM contract now. Maybe a million dollar option for 2022. I realize the Reds have Peraza for 3 more arbitration years, but he’s making $2.77MM now. That price will probably go up each year. JI is making 250K less this season. Right now Jose Iglesias is the better ss. I don’t see Peraza getting a lot of pt once Scooter returns. Let Peraza earn his pay, & play.
